Tool Cake.JPG - For a woodworker's or handyman's birthday, make a tool cake. Press a 3/4-inch layer of clay into the bottom of 13x9-inch pan, and lightly coat the clay with powdered sugar. Place a sheet of plastic wrap over the clay. Place a real tool on top of the plastic wrap, and firmly press it into the clay, using a rocking motion. Repeat for the other tools. Remove the plastic wrap and smooth any bumps that may have formed around the edges of the tool shapes. Spray the pan and clay with cooking spray, and pour cake batter such that the batter is about 3/4-inch above the highest portion of the clay. Bake until done, loosen the cake from the sides of the pan, and invert the pan.Added by: Admin.
